We proudly carry the Onyx Collection, which is a family owned business producing cultured marble bath and shower products made just next door in Kansas. Onyx products are guaranteed forever, and come in a multitude of colors, patterns and textures. They offer the look of tile without any of the grout or maintenance issues that a tile shower brings. The solid surface wall panels ans shower pan are all made to order, which can result in longer lead times before we are able to install them, however once the products are delivered to us, installation is a breeze! We start by tearing out the existing shower walls and base down to the studs and subfloor. Then we hang up 1/2" OSB plywood for structural strength to install shower seats, grab bars and other accessories into. Then, the shower walls and pan are installed on top, creating a beautiful and fully-waterproof shower enclosure. Onyx also makes stunning vanity tops with seamless integrated sinks and backsplashes, soap shelves, corner caddies and dozens of different trim pieces that enhance the style and design of your new bathroom.

How do you clean Onyx products?

Onyx products remain clean with minimal efforts. A simple weekly cleaning is often more than enough to keep a shower or vanity top looking new. Most household cleaners work well with Onyx. Just be sure that the cleaner is non-abrasive (no grit in the cleaner). A surface protectant will keep water spots and deposits from forming and can make cleaning an Onyx shower even easier.

What is Onyx made of?

63% of their products is a hydrate crystal–Al2O3+3H2O. Alumina is also the main ingredient in Corian and all “solid surface” and cultured marble products.The main ingredient in our product is (alumina trihydrate). The other 37% is a special polyester resin they developed over the last 30 plus years. Their resin does not contain any urea formaldehyde.

Why is there a long lead time after I place an order?

Due to the limitless customizations available and the manufacturing process to fabricate and cure all the pieces specific to your project, there is typically a 6-8 week lead time on all Onyx orders. To circumvent this timeline, we stock standard tub/shower replacement size units of 60x30 in both righthand and lefthand drain configurations in a white gloss subway tile wall pattern that are ready to install if you're in a hurry to get your project done. All our clients are offered the option of a quick turnaround with a classic subway pattern look, or they can choose to wait on their custom color selection if they prefer a different look and feel for their space.
